Records can be deceiving, explaining why 3-9 > 6-6

--WSU was 3-9 this season after a 6-6 regular season mark in 2013, but Moos said records can be deceiving. "We’re much, much better than we were a year ago,” Moos said.

--"People still tell me we need to run the football more, but when you’re No. 7 in the nation in total offense you should be winning more football games. Alabama gave up 700 yards to Auburn (628) and they’re supposed to be the defensive gurus in college football. I wonder if they fired their defensive coordinator?” (difference is Bama won, you dip)

--“Nothing makes the faithful feel better, even after a tough season, than a win over the Huskies.” (cuogs would trade their dynasty for their 2008 team?)

For desert, some TBS:http://washingtonstate.scout.com/story/1487114-four-star-dt-verbal-toki-believes-in-wsu?s=137

--“Look, Saturday was a tough loss, but win or lose, Wazzu is in the process of building right now. WSU will be a Rose Bowl contender in about two years."

LOL!

Also, I just found out Paul Wulff is the OC at USF. Just checked their stats and found out they're 118th in total offense and 117th in scoring offense. He lasted 4 years in Pullman as the HC, but he might not even survive a year as the OC at a mid-major.

The future is in our recruiting, and our incoming class will rival last year’s and will probably be better than last year’s…It’s a solid base of athletes to run this offense and man our defense,” said Moos.

Rivals ranked the WSU recruiting class 12th in the Pac-12 in 2013.

Hey, I'm all for it. If both UW and WSU are Rose Bowl contenders in two years, I might even shed a tear of joy as long as we are better than them. It's been a dark 10+ years for both teams.

UW beat only one team with a winning record (so far) this year.

This is one of my favorites behind "UW has lost 11 in a row to 0regon"

Like either one of those reflects positive light on the sh!tstorm that is WSU football.

This is the kind of logic that is going to keep the pirate there as long as he wants to stay.

I'm with Bill Moos.
This team was better except for three specific areas: special teams errors, No Andrew Furney, and no Deone Bucannnon. Put Deon on this defense and we'd see a vastly better overall defense over last year. Without Andrew Furney last year, this team would have been worse than this year's. Our special teams improved after the switch of coaches.
This team is more talented and better...we really need a placekicker.

Re: Moos: Cougs are better than last year
Perhaps we should adopt the so called "Nebraska Values" of NU fans and fire every Coach who wins at least 9 games a season. Fans of college football across America are never happy. My guess is Oregon fans will consider their program in the dumpster if The Ducks fail to win the national title. As a long suffering Coug alum from the 70's I see improvement with Moos & Leach in command of WSU football...we just failed to seal the deal in the Cal & Rutgers games, (I have no explanation as to what happened in Nevada). I'm behind Moos and Leach all the way, and husky trolls who claim Moos has no sizzle are just plain stupid
