Dream scenario would be beating Oregon (I never talk about hypothetical) and Sark jettig for USC and Wilcox becoming interim coach for the rest of the season. We would get a decent taste to how he might fare at HC.
I like Wilcox too he has the demeanor of a HC. He isn't trying to be the medias best friend and even on weeks his D does good all you hear him talk about the next day is how they weren't perfect.
Here's what really happens if we beat Oregon:
1. The goal posts will come down - that is how much things have changed.
2. Sark will give a kick ass presser and all of us, for a moment, will wish we were in his inner circle of friends.
3. All the idiots I call my friends will start using phrases like, "the natural order of things is being restored - us and USC on top again baby!"
4. Someone in the pantheon of power at USC will realize that Sarkesian is a heavier, less handsome version of Lane Kiffin and will not want a redoux.
5. Someone in the pantheon of power at Washington will think we have the next Pete Caroll and role Sarkesian a 5-year extension with a healthy number of 00s attached to it.
6. We'll be stuck forever.
The only time-tested way to get rid of a coach you don't like is to lose. That is what you realistically need to hope for.
Of course he could "win" his way to a better job, but the probabilities on my 1-6 are much higher than him winning and being hired away.
