The Throbber missed out on that by a couple years. Was rolling on a faux Stingray (we wuz poor) by 1971. Moved up to the classic Schwinn Varsity in about 1975 - tank bike.

We took turns in the chair every few weeks until we got older and mom's said, "to hell with it, you're on your own". Good times! Once had a hoops teammate tell me his dad wanted to hold me down and cut my GD hippie hair.
