Bama fans are surprisingly knowledgeable in my experience about other teams and conferences, despite running a train on college football for a while now.
Texas fans are like "our roster is 5 star monsters, we have the advantage in every matchup" "our backup DTs from last year are now better than Suh and Vea"

Totally agree. Bama fans I met in Atlanta in 2016 were all nice and were knowledgeable. Fun to talk to. Since Missouri is SEC country I have to say most fan bases are pretty good. Florida and Tennessee are the exception. But no where as fucked up at Texas fans. A Dunning Krueger Effect factory.

Lovely ppl to be sure, but they aren't all Bama fans, in fact quite the contrary depending on where we're talking. That's not to say that under the current circumstances a large portion aren't going SEC SEC SEC SEC, and outside of Auburn fans, pulling for Bama. In fact FSU fans are clamoring for SMOD to break into two pieces landing approximately four hours apart on Jan 1, one chunk in Pasadena, the other in New Orleans. Despite the SEC SEC SEC SEC crapola, as a population they also tend to have high football IQs, and generally take losses better than you'd expect, at least in terms of losing fans reactions to opposing winning fans. Reactions towards coaches is another story. Losing coaches are not generally tolerated. Anyway, gotta give props where props are deserved.
