BREAKING: The #Titans have informed veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck he’s being released, according to sources.

I actually take that as a sign that they realize Hasselbeck's presence did not help take Jake to the next level. I think it's a quiet sign that they realize that Jake is not going to be the next RGIII. Watch for them to make a bold move to bring in a quality young backup to challenge Jake -- in the same way Chip Kelly ushered an end to the Bellotti era.

The debate for Tennessee should be around drafting a new QB this year or tanking with Lockner to draft a new QB next year.

If I'm a Tootans fan, I tank the season with Jack, draft or sign a REAL QB, and then move Jack to his natural position....Safety.
