I don't know in particular for that twat. Howsoever, the 7th Calvary under Custer, for example, was substantially foreign-born. Italians, Irish, German, etc.

Grundle is right. The Irish have long been cannon fodder for the Brits and then the Americans. In the mid 1800s the Irish were the lowest ranked whites in the AP poll. That's why there was so much trouble between Blacks and Irish post slavery

I think the 2 guys named as receiving a Medal of Honor were Irish and at least one born in Ireland.
