Fuck me- Throbber is old enough to remember when Mizuno gloves made their way to America. Used one on a modified softball team back in the mid 80's.
BTW, modified fast pitch softball is superior to that pansy ass fat boy slow pitch softball. Most of the rules of regular baseball/softball except the pitcher can't windmill the pitch. Bunting isn't allowed as I recall. Stealing was allowed but no leading off. So there's alot of hitting and not all that many strikeouts. But the pitch is challenging enough that some beer gut guy can't just walk up there and lay back until he gets one he can jack.
