Race Bannon's OFFICIAL Golf Talk 2023-2024 Thread

Your course is still my least favorite top course I've played

Maybe that would be fun ... going through the top 100 courses that I've played and rank my top 5 worst

Why do you hate getting butt fucked by the course ?

I probably give it more shit than I should ...

But when you live in an area with a ton of spectacular options to choose from ... it makes it hard for me to willingly want to go play your course ... I'll make exceptions to that to join your company though

Having a social membership there for pool, gym and driving range, makes me feel pressured to use the amenity. But yeah, I need to expand my horizons as a golf hacker.

8 months until the Rory hype train at the Masters. Gonna be lots of reports of how great he looks in practice rounds and a new mental approach that is sure to work this time.

Enjoyed the women's amateur over the weekend at Bel-Air. Course looks amazing. Not bad for $13k/month (which is a fucking crazy monthly dues, one time initiation fees of $150k is not bad for a high end private course).

No matter how hard they try golf playoffs are a tough sell.

I liked the season better with the PGA championship in mid August then fade away for football

Agree, August is missing on major sports now and the PGA fit in nicely. Even with my tennis interest and willingness to watch it, the late August start of the US Open leaves a big gap in major sporting events before it starts, which is stupidly alongside football.

And play that August PGA on the west coast exclusively for both TV windows in the evening and firm and fast courses. The South and mid Atlantic coast are hot wet swamps this time of year.

Schleffler is now impossible to watch. Made 24 million this year and can't make a 5 footer. Rory like

Hovland had a great ending but the FedEx Cup isn't major and never will be. He's still at zero but looks like he could go on a run

Ryder Cup could be interesting or not

At least the tour got rid of the stupid carry over season

Now put the PGA back in August

No buzz over the staggered start FedEx Cup. At all
