Guys that I'd keep on the radar this week ...

Max Homa - he gets HUGE vibes playing in California and is effectively playing at home this week ... has college experience here with a LOW number posted

Justin Rose - his results from the Players forward ... T6, T36, T16, T25, T9, T12, 8 ... that's some really good form and he's got the kind of game that plays well with US Opens

Jordan Spieth - perhaps a tad off the radar given his wrist injury earlier this year and when he blows up it hits everywhere but I doubt many would believe he has 6 top 5's already this calendar year ... the magic he has in the short game is one of those things that will be needed this week with how firm/fast LACC will play ... catch him on a week where the putter gets hot and good luck catching him
 
Speith and Rose are solid bets.

If this US Open wasn't in California I'd be 100% of the same opinion

Homa's resume in California is very solid ... given his number it's definitely on the table
