I have received a report that the "new posts" function isn't working properly. Is anybody else experiencing this? I wanted to gauge the room before filing the work order.

Yes.
It seems to log posts as "read" if a user is logged in, regardless of whether the thread/post was read. "New" seems to only be posts that were made since the last login.
