Full disclosure I grew up in Texas and didn't set foot in Seattle until I went to UW. I don't know a thing about Husky Football before 1999. Who the fuck is Don James? Could he walk into a 5 stars living room and close them?

I have a best friend that is a Bruin, but we have a deal.  I always root for UCLA unless they are playing my Huskies, and he always roots for UCLA unless they are playing my DAWGS.

Don James didn't walk into many 5 stars' living rooms because he didn't waste his effort. He only wanted young men who were willing to work harder than they ever have to become their best. His players would run through a wall if he asked them. How many 5 stars sacrifice like that?

Best part of last week's news is UW has a real head football coach for the first time since James resigned.

Coach James never chased down players. The bad-ass studs sought UW out and Coach James recruited character, work ethic, and potential development over stars.
