Ok... So I'm back on the continental US for the first time since 2007. The US government in its infinite wisdom has moved me from Japan to the Midwest. I'm within three hours' drive of Soldier Field. Should I drive into Chicago and see the UW and the Illini or do I stay home and watch the UO plungering Tennessee? Other suggestions, to include DIAFF welcomed.

Why can't you get to Chicago early in the day, watch the Ducks on TV at a sports bar, and THEN go to the game?

I know, those are a lot of steps for a Duck to follow.

Watch two shitty football teams or one really good team and an SEC team. Hmmmmmm.

Well, it's an opportunity for me to see a game at Soldier Field without having to watch the NFL. Plus I can tailgate with classy Husky fans, right?

You have a better chance of getting murdered in Chicago.

That could have been Obama who was murdered as a kid.

I will pay for your flight.

I'll be enjoying the game between the Adirondack and Green Mountains on a crisp fall afternoon in my dorm.

Williams? I have a buddy that works there

Sadly I wasn't good enough for the Forbes #1 ranked school. But we've got hotter girls up the road in Vermont. And hey, #4 ain't so bad according to US News.

Stanford got number 1. Pomona got number 2 (my other alma mater)... Middlebury is pretty great. They still have their own ski hill?

That's right. They just came out with those new rankings.

Yes, they operate a shuttle to the Snow Bowl every hour. It's awesome in the winter.

Being two hours south of Montreal is also great. Favorite city.
