I have a love hate relationship with Queen. Sometimes I’m just in the mood for the bombast.
 
I can’t listen to Rhapsody / Rock You / Champions / Bicycle and a few others anymore, they are so fucking over-played, and have been especially since the movie. They have some tremendous deep cuts that never saw the light of day. It’s like Stairway to Heaven...I love Zep, but I bet I haven’t listened to Stairway front to back in 25 years...
 
Im on one right now but why does nobody talk about Brian May and Roger Taylor being better than 90% of the bands of the era by themselves??

A formal outline for conditions of de-escalation:
1. It is a great song
2. It is a great band
3. It is a great, respectful cover
4. It was NEVER about the band or song(s), but the saturation of such songs on my radio dial
