I think Wilson will commit to the Ducks this weekend. I also think he will still take all his official visits.
He's going to Texas if they'll take him. Oregon if they don't. He 224 pounds already. He's a soft TE prospect.

Funny
No you are the biggest hypocrite motherfucker. He will play WR. He could play TE on certain downs or more if his body changes but for now he is a wide receiver. All this Husky bullshit is because you are butthurt. You offered him you wanted him and Ducks beat you out for him. Gee aren’t you smart. No one but you realized that a recruit might play a different position.
Johnny Wilson could gain another 15 pounds and still play out wide. He’s a sub 4.6 40 kid with a 4.25 shuttle. If the S&C staff want him to be explosive, he will be.

4.59 at 224 pounds equals 4.7 at 240 pounds. Maybe 4.65 at best. He's a tweener.
There is more to playing WR than speed tho. You have to be able to start and stop quickly, change direction smoothly, get in and out of brakes. He doesn't have that stuff. His film and route running are very basic. Just go routes and slants and posts. He'll never be good enough of a route runner to play WIDE receiver and be effective. He's a slot/flex TE guy but doesn't play as big as he is. He's a 50-50 ball guy. Not a consistent separation guy. He needs a specific role in an offense that minimizes his weaknesses which means putting him in the slot and trying to get mismatches against nickels, safeties, and linebackers.

You’re also the one that thinks Sewell can’t play ILB. You catastrophize any event related to Oregon. The kid looks like he’s filled out and probably mostly maxed out. Also, he is not necessarily losing speed or agility if he adds weight.

All our WR will have to compete for playing time. I think we have seven 4 star WR’s
Bryan Addison
Isaiah Crocker
Juwan Johnson
Jaylon Red
Mycah Pittman
Lance Wilhoite
Josh Delgado
Of course you guys didn’t want any of these guys. They are all trash. They don’t compare to the Husky receiving core.![]()
