Proof of Oregon being serious again

ON MLK DAY??!!

I bet all 3 were white players

2 white, one Poly

Doug Brenner and Sam Poutasi, and tight end Cam McCormick

Mixed feeling about this. Sounds like a basic training drill that even I survived and I'm a total pussy.

The Oregonian reported that the workouts were similar to military basic training, with up to an hour of continuous push-ups and up-downs,

Mind you, it sucked. Big-time. But we're hopefully not up to Iowa levels of rhabdo-fucked-up-edness just yet.

Not sure this new S&C coach knows what the fuck he is doing. We still have Jim Radcliffe, maybe he could talk to him or something.

Doesnt sound like mixed feelings at all.

It's interesting how former players, current players, and former players from previous schools all say how it isn't that bad, yet obese people are freaking out.

It's interesting that way.

Kirk Ferentz earned his lifetime contract with this.

$11.5 million for what? He wasn't going to be making that going pro, kid wasn't good enough

Read the article. He suffered kidney damage.

I'd like to know the severity. If he maintains a healthy lifestyle, it shouldn't be much of an issue. I agree he should sue, but he isn't getting $11.5 million. I'll bet $20 Sven bucks that this thing gets settled out of court for a third of what he's asking for.

Thats basically how these things always work, if you're gunning for a settlement you shoot way higher than the amount you really want so that the settlement offer will be in the range of what you're looking for. I'd guess he gets $2-3 million and is thrilled with that.

Of kidney damage?

I mean, we're all suffering from it every day because they never stop working and eventually wear out. That's life.

But when you're in your 20s, you need to not do things to hasten the wearing out process or they'll fold before you're ready to check out.

Let me put it to you this way. I'm not a plaintiff's lawyer, but when people say that the world would be better off if there weren't any ambulance chasers, these are the cases to which I point. And as a corporate guy, I can tell you w/o reservation that only the very tip of the iceberg of shit sandwiches people are forced to eat ever see the light of day.

He should sue and he should get that money. I'd have called Paul Stritmatter and axed for moar. Hell, he got a kid more than that years ago on facts much less compelling than these.
