Takeaway: Michael Penix is a complete stud in '22 but it is easy to use your selective memory and forget how good Browning was in 16.

I don't need stats to know what my eyes tell me, which is that Penix is easily the best thrower of all those QB's listed. His ball placement is far and away better than the others there. Rome is awesome and all, but he's not on the level of 2016 John Ross where you just toss up a floater to him and he outruns the entire defense.

I'm not joking. That was 1 man dragging a team to bowl eligibility by his own nutsack.
 
Penix's production for the 2022 Huskies could very well exceed his ENTIRE production at Indiana (4 years). Yeah, looking at total yards passing but still....

The game has changed and it's easier to out up madden numbers now.

Still, some of the throws Penix throws easily put him up on the list.

Price's arm talent was underrated imo bc "mobile qb" and less talented receivers.

All that said, Jake Browning sucks.

Penix makes the dagger to the heart, back breaking throws like no UW QB I've ever seen. I wish he had some wheels, and he pushes the risk envelope with some costly picks.

But still, no risk, no reward.
 
Price skipping a ball off the turf short of Kasen Williams against Stanford on the final drive was the day I was done with the Sark era.

Price got destroyed in 2012 and was a shell of himself physically in 2013. Also, I think ASJ dropped a first down prior to that - likely winning or tying the game if he had caught it.

Isaiah Stanback also was completely waisted talent who got injured bc of a shitty coach.

Stanback could throw the hell out of the ball. He was a blank canvas for Gilby and Ty, two of the worst D1 head coaches in history. Tough break for him and us as UW fans. He could've been really fun to watch.

probably not cause he didnt have NFL arm talent. Penix absolutely yes.
