We are so close to being able to replicate people's voices and images, that someone will soon be able to fabricate videos of Joe Rogan honoring Hitler or Joe Biden saying Trump is his best friend, and people won't be able to tell the difference between what is real and what is fake.

How do we as a society deal with that? How do we discern truth when monitoring the news?

Watch some vids on the military engagements between Russia and Ukraine. Some are obviously not real but you need to watch multiple times to spot it.

Others are staged but again you need to really pay attention and ask yourself it what you’re watching makes sense.

If I were in the public eye, I think I'd have a small recorder running anytime (legal or not) I were in public or talking to any non-family or friend on the phone just to have a back up to avoid fabrication. Col Vindman tried to pull that on Trump with his made up a summary of the Trump-Ukraine conversation, which the dazzler swallowed whole - like big phucking surprise. The dems never envisioned that Trump would release the actual transcript which revealed the dem lie.
