While not doubting that that's probably the right answer ... that also speaks volumes as to why we've had so many offensive problems.
 
I'd imagine that Petersen is as depressed as most of us are about this roster ... it's not a fun team to watch right now outside of #'s 7, 8, and 55.

Tanigawa with his erratic snaps (including 2 that were above Mile's head when he caught them) and Atoe being Atoe.

Maybe the blocking has been solid, but the snaps were glaringly bad in the UCLA game.

(You said the passing game was ‘painful’ post-game. What needs to happen?) “We just need to be able to throw the ball downfield a little bit more and make some plays. It was nice, we got one to Brayden (Lenius), a big chunk play. We had two other chances to Dante (Pettis) we couldn’t quite get done. We need to hit a few of those. We just need to be more efficient in there. Our run game is solid, but our run game could get better if we could pass the ball better.”

My biggest pet peeve is when people say they did their best.

If you do it, you don't have to say you did your best.

If you fail, you say you did your best.

Nobody has held up a trophy and said I did my best!

If you have to say you did your best, you failed and you won't win because the other guy's best is better than yours.

This right here.

I know Tanigawa is a tough guy. He's battled back from injuries. He plays hard and, I suspect, commands a lot of respect from his teammates. But that guy's snaps have been a big problem. Not just against UCLA. The Colorado game was probably even worse. Oregon game was bad too.
