Incomplete poll - I think it'll be 1 Michigan, 2 UW, 3 Texas, 4 FSU

Yeah, ran out of space, I thought about that one but personally view unlikely. I could talk myself into it though.

Booger McFarland was atrocious as an in game announcer but I like him as a studio analyst.

He makes a great here for FSU and Texas over Bama.

I just watched that and he is 100% correct. If the SEC wanted to get a team in they shouldn't have lost a game to Texas or blown the CCG. FSU won in the real world, not via some random BS computer model that ranks Texas A&M ahead of UW.

This will also ensure that no SEC team plays another big OOC game for a long time, especially with the playoff field expanding to 12. Early season OOC matchups are probably going to die.

My only problem with that order is placing a 1-loss Texas ahead of FSU opens the door wide open to SEC whiners who would say their 1-loss team should also be ahead of FSU.

I don't think they will do it, but tossing FSU out has downstream ramifications since it would send FSU to the Orange and the ACC would lose a NY6 spot, with Ole Miss I think replacing Louisville. Probably better ESPN ratings for controversial undefeated FSU in the Orange against Georgia and Ole Miss playing somewhere than Louisville getting slaughtered by Georgia. Costs the ACC millions to benefit the SEC, pisses of FSU and hastens the exit of ACC teams for the power 2. More money for ESPN.

I want to go on record as saying I think the committee is grossly incompetent

Agreed. These people are the architects of lovely blowouts such as the 2013 Bama-Notre Dame and the 2015 Ohio State-Oregon games.

Despite Bama beating the #1 team, Texas has done nothing to lose their spot. As much as it pains me, my Tide deserve to be #5 even if they would win a rematch.

Yeah you very well could be right, but I'm predicting that the committee let's FSU in based on resume (deservedly so), but still recognizes them as the weakest team of the four. So they'll reward Michigan accordingly by giving them the weakest team that also has to travel the furthest.
