It isn’t dead of course and this is too far, but optics matter, and the Dems had terrible optics all night, ending with Slotkon bragging about being a career CIA agent when public distrust of the CIA and FBI is so low.
The Dems would be better to go all English House of Commons and yell their disapproval, then simmer down when the Speaker shushes them.
This passive aggressive, holding up signs, rolling eyes, checking cell phones doesn't sit well with the public.
Not surprising since Dems are tone deaf to how they are perceived these days.
