There's a good chance we'll end up ranked in the 20s when the final AP and Coaches polls are released.

Taking a look at who is ahead of us in the AP Poll:

19. Wisky L
20. A&M W
21. Fresneck L
22. Duke L
23. Georgia L
24. NIU L
25. ND W
USC W
Iowa L
Miami L
Vandy ?
Texas L
Cincy L
BGU L

That's 10 losses of the 14 teams ahead of us. FWIW, the two teams behind us lost and the other is NDSU. I could see us 22nd or 23rd.

What? You mean we can't say Sark got UW "ranked" with 2 votes in the "also receiving" category?

I'm older school btw.... imo 80% of these fucking bowel games are a waste of time and 7-8 win teams shouldn't even be participating in post season unless they've won their conference.

I miss the days when Michigan can go 50-4-1 and only play in one bowl game.

Petersen is winning because Sark left the cupboard full. His last year of coaching he had the Huskies at 24th in the nation at the end of year, more improvement. UW got very unlucky and would have been playing in the playoffs year in year out. You think Petersen has 5 10+ seasons in a row without Sark's effort? I highly doubt that.

Meanwhile at USC Sark will have had one 10 win season (with a prestigious Alamo Bowel win) despite bringing in top 10 recruiting classes every year.
 
Wiskahnsin probably won't fall out of the top 25, and I wouldn't be surprised if Georgia didn't in one of the poles too. After all, there must be at least 8 SEC teams in one of the poles at all times.

It's looking pretty good. It does mean something for both pride and recruiting.... it hasn't happened 12 years...

 
What do I think? I think you should stop saying whisky and Fresneck. That's what I think.

I don't care about being ranked in the top 25 but I appreciate the effort of the post.
