Not a peep about jobs, inflation, the economy, the border, etc.
God help us if this tactic actually works.

If the polling is accurate, and only 5% of the public thinks that abortion is the top issue in this election, then the Rats will have pissed away a ton of money on ads that do not speak to the biggest issues in this election. Crime, the economy/inflation and immigration is what the public is telling pollsters are their top issues. None of those issues help the Rats.

Legal abortion isn't under any threat in the state of Washington. The only people who are going to motivated to vote on that issue were already going to vote for Murray. Is Murray talking about the economy? Is she talking about crime? Is she touting the spending bills that she and her fellow Rats passed?

Serious abortion discussion in the CNN thread. I can’t talk about Patty Murray. She’s an abortion.
My wife, a lifelong Democrat said she probably would have voted for Smiley but for her stance on abortion. GOP had all the ammunition they needed to win bigly and dropped the bullets in the river. I’ll still be voting for Smiley but it’s the suburban housewives that have been led astray by the abortion issue. Hope I’m wrong.

I said this last week- Stacy Abrams is well behind Kemp in the polling so she digs her heels into the ground more on abortion. A solid move to rope in all the folks who were already planning on voting for you.
Yesterday Ben and Jerrys (you know, the ice cream folks who give political advice?) ran a full page ad in the AJC that conservatives don't want black people to vote. Meanwhile- those nasty statistics keep getting in the way-
