There was some validity to Petermans type but they took it to the extreme hitting it so hard and for so long that it then morphed into the whole racism thing which was where they lost me.

I remember posting shortly after he left about the possibility of his entire shtick being part of a case study on the irrational nature of grown men following high school recruiting. The hyperbolic "character" he played on here was funny for awhile but then got annoying after awhile once they started buying in to their own bullshit. IIRC at one point Coker was going to TBS analyst conventions and they were planning on creating their own TBS ranking website

It wasn’t really a race thing. It was about growing up with a comfortable life vs not. Kaleb McGary, they said, was likely fast strategy for instance.
Anyway, there was something to what they were saying but it became very charged because Oregon was using it and also…we couldn’t fucking beat Oregon with our tight-ass coach, which certainly sucked.

I came back from being banned for a year and those fags and their minions had damn near taken over the board with their hysterical bullshit. As someone who's always hated recruiting anyways, I had no issue trolling the shit out of them.

My recollection on the whole Fast Strategy theory is similar to ’s where it was effectively “secure upbringing” = slow strategy and “insecure upbringing” = fast strategy.
And then it turned to a racial thing - which I always thought was sarcastic - as a short cut on the fast/slow delineation.
