Is this hipster term new? I have noticed the saying here many times over the past few months but I have never heard the term in public until this weekend. I was behind a couple early 20 something's or college kids in line this weekend and they were using the term but I didn't catch the context. WTF because now I feel even older and not dialed in.

Little help, did this term hipster evolve from a previous word/saying? Please tell me this is new in the past 5 years or FM.

Earliest usage of the word that I can recall was on Seinfeld. I'm sure it probably predates that though.
 
I have seen every Seinfeld episode @dnc‌ and still don't recall but nice try. I know the term Hip but hipster has to be new the past 5 years unless it's related. FYI I don't care if anyone believes where I lived 81% since 2009. Next

When people talk about hipsters, they're always talking about panties, usually lacy ones that show off the hips/butt.

Nice, well I remember that Epoisode instantly from the rabies but had no memory of her saying hipster. I stand corrected on Seinfeld but I still never noticed that hipster term then or until visiting this site.

Of what I am gathering of hipster is its not cool after reading the @Swaye‌ link but if we are bashing Kramer I am definitely out. As in "master of my own domain" out. Fuck I miss that show #bestever
