I'm pleased with Pleasant.

Also not sold on the skinny black Chinese guy.

I think we might have a shot with him. Stanford just offered an OL from Missouri last night, kinda late in the game to do that (although, they just lost their starting Center to something other than sports, so maybe that offer is taking his spot).
 
Solid pickup. With the news on Kongbo today, I'm guessing Chin commits and that wraps up the TBSing for this year

Would rather have a standout DL versus another DB/Ath, but agree this is a nice pickup. If Kamari ends up at CB, it further negates Long.

I don't think we need more DBs.

I think that one of Murphy or Pleasant ends up at WR. I could see the coaches sitting Murphy down after one week of practices and saying look- you want to see the field this year? Switch to offense.

I don't get this notion of bringing him in as a "big back" though. He's tall, but weighs less than Gaskin.

Also of note, there's a Doovil over on the dawgman boreds letting everybody know that ASU didn't want him and our old friend sinceredawg is also all over the thread opining on how no other schools actually wanted him and his offers to Oregon, USC, and ASU are made up. Strange, no comment from sinceredawg after the Levi and Murphy commitments.
 
There is no such thing as a big back.

There is such a thing as just good running backs though. That's real.

Give me the choice of "Big Back" Dwayne Washington or "Small Back" Myles Gaskin at the goal line, I know who I am taking every time.

Fuck doogman and Eddie George for this big back shit.
 
I didn't say big back. We need another quality RB. Gaskin with Chico y McGrew y Coleman is not enough.

It amuses me to think that the reason ASU might have needed Pleasant to greyshirt was because they thought they were getting Murphy. Murphy picks UW, Pleasant already soured on ASU, and they end up with neither.
