Playoff chaos

It’s like what Saban said. “Look how many teams make the college basketball playoff, and we still have a two hour show talking about the teams that got left out.”

I mean, he says that but I don't really recall there being that much controversy year and year about fringe basketball teams that don't make the dance. Maybe I'm wrong.
Some won't like hearing this, but Saban, while a fantastic program builder, is kinda full of shit and likes to hear himself make hyperbolic statements. We don't have to hate everything and make shit up to make the point. The basketball tournament works for that sport just fine. Football is different.

Why is Texas tech a lock even if they lose the ccg?
That would give them 2 losses, one to ASU, and their best wins are paper tiger Utah and BYU.
That would put them at 2-2 in actual decent games and they are supposed to be guaranteed?

If it's 16, people will still whine. People whine when it's 64, 65, or 68. Often times they have good points. iF Bammer gets in, and Bill wouldn't be surprised, Bill and ghost of Pumpy will raise hell.

College football is corrupt and retarded at this point.

Dinnich predicts Alabama gets in with 3 losses, along with ND.
While I'm not at all supportive of Miami getting anything, they're probably the best team in the ACC at this point, have two losses that aren't great but they're not awful, beat ND head to head and beat common opponents similarly (I think).
What a mess. Gotta love it, I guess.
Texas Tech looks like a team. Indiana is a fucking team. Lol, Buck. Hate to see it. This Buck looked beatable before today and nobody who is following along should be shocked Cigaretti bent Day over.

You are taking the right stance. Miami is good enough to be in and could even win a game or two, but two losses in the ACC makes it tough to get behind them.

I agree that Texas Tech looks good but am still curious if they actually are. The Big 12 sucks. Still, they look to have a great defense.

We only need a 6 team playoff this year, and allowing 6 is pretty generous.
3 tOSU vs 6 Ole Miss. Winner vs 2 Georgia
4 Texas Tech vs 5 Oregon. Winner vs 1 Indiana
Maybe flip Ole Miss & Oregon's seeds to lessen rematch chances and force different conferences to square off.

Or just let Georgia play Texas Tech and let the winner take on Indiana, since we've already seen Indiana beat tOSU & Oregon and Georgia beat Ole Miss.

As much as I despise #9 Notre Dame, I'd give them top 5 odds to win it all. I don't want Oregon to play them.
Hot take: Vanderbilt is.the most dangerous team on the outside looking in.

Notre Dame I struggle with. I agree that they're really good and potentially can make a run, but my #hottake is around earned inclusion instead of metrics & potential. In which 2 losses are 2 losses with no amazing win to offset them.

Agree. I solely based my point on how likely they are to win it.

Just put Buckeyes and Hoosiers on opposite sides. I want to see a rematch in the title game. And if Oregon spoils that party more power to them
An Oregon natty may be required to get UW's head out of its collective ass

I'm not sure anything can get the UW heads out of their asses.

If it's anything like the basketball committee I'm sure they play games and manipulate matchups. In basketball they always have and probably still do (don't care enough) put Gonzaga in the most close reasonable bracket to a top Pac team to make sure they can get rid of one of them early enough.

Lol. ND got left out. Was going to write "jobbed" but given this goofy construct getting fucked was going to happen to someone.
Let's see if Mario can not be Mario and use what he has to go beat up A&M. I don't think they're that good.
