It was a question not an opinion of fact. Sudden death heart attacks in young people all over the world is up statistically at alarming rates. Young people have collapsed and died on fields and courts over the last 1-2 years like never seen bofore. I think I read recently the rate of heart attack in young people is up close to or more than 1000%. Ignoring the reality and asking why is not smart.

I just heard a top guy at ESPN has confirmed the young man has died. They haven't made the announcement yet...my friend is saying in about an hour or so the news will be released.

And yet 10+ soccer (the sport where it’s most common) players died of cardiac events on the field annually pre 2020. It just wasnt publicized because we didn’t have a bunch of people getting their brains microwaved by freedomeagle.net. In fact, 2022 had the fewest on-field deaths since 2014.

Sudden cardiac events have happened to healthy athletes or normal humans well before 2021-2022. It’s just fascinating (not really) to see that ignored.

A gal from our? Women’s row boat team in the late 90s who I knew, dropped dead of a heart attack Mt biking around Tahoe about 10 Years ago. No warming. Just gone.

I miss those simpler times. Freak shit just happened and that was that.
