Families with little kids were out there having a great time not afraid. We have grown ass men in here that won’t go 100 miles within the city because they’re frightened!!

Took my oldest to the Hawks game last night. Left at halftime and It was First Thursday plus it was nice out so we decided to walk back up through occidental and up to Swedish, where I’d parked in the garage. Not gonna ever do that again. Aside from the usual shit you see on 3rd street, there were addicts everywhere in Pioneer Sq. Bums smoking fent right out in the open on the sidewalk and in the park. One homeless person masturbating in the bus stop on James St before the I5 on-ramp and of course all of the usual sights of people dying on their feet around Harborview.
As an aside, Lumen badly needs to upgrade the food vendors at club level. Doesn’t hold a candle to Climate Pledge offerings. Ballard Pizza co is fine, and Bar Dojo is ok, but Big Walt’s sucks(sorry 71 but it’s the truth) and Legion isn’t all that great either. Would rather drop down to the N entrance level and grab Kidd Valley but half the reason I buy in for club level seats is to avoid the lines.
TLDR: Hawks are maybe a 10 win team. Big Walt’s is garbage. Homeless people everywhere. Next time we’re eating at Elysian pre game and Ubering down and back from my client’s office to avoid all of the bullshit. There’s no way in hell I’m letting my daughter see any of that. Also zero chance I’m putting my car in any of the garages around PS. The structure across from Tat’s looked like it had been completely over run. Fuck you, city hall.
