Petersen is here to Build a Winner, not a Résumé
The one game suspension of Marcus Peters has not diminished CokeGreaterThan Pepsi's enthusiasm and support for new coach Chris Petersen.

I, for one, am totally on board with Peters taking a seat. Anyone whose ever been a successful long term coach has to instill discipline in his/her team. Not fake discipline (hi sark), real to the core discipline.
Coke hit the nail on the head when he said this is truly Petersens destination job. No one who wasnt choking on El Sietes nut bag would possibly think that about Sark. Petersens plan is to build a long term championship level team here, not a quick cosmetic fix an your way to your next more desirable stop. When you are in it for the long haul you are willing to sacrifice instant successes to achieve your ultimate goal.
I think that is what were seeing right now. Obviously the first couple weeks have been really shaky, but there is a foundation being built here, and its not made of sawdust. To be honest, as horrifying as the first couple scrimmages have been, Im more sold now than I was a month ago. Winning consistently at a high level will be the payoff for believing in his plan (why the fuck wouldnt he, he's 94-12 for christ sake), an following it even if it causes some undesireable bumps along the way.

Ty was trying to mold a winner the right way too.

I'm not saying Peterman is Ty you twisters.

Ty was mediocre at best at Stanford and fired at Notre Dame

I know you're being sarcastic but some doogs needed to read that

But Ty won all those Rose Bowl games at Stanford.

But still, he did win Coach of The Year and stuff.

Yeah, through clearly communicated passive-aggressive technique. Perfect preparation for life, since many, if not most, organizations are filled with bosses who manage this way.
