Petersen gets that UW is a "Sleeping Giant."

I called UW a "Sleeping Giant" a couple days ago, and some d-bag/smart ass popped off. Well, here you go:

mike bellotti on Petersen: “He had let me know years ago, five to seven years ago, that the Washington job was one that definitely held interest for him. Just the combination of recognition that maybe they could be better, in his estimation, but that they had the resources and facilities to regain the level that they had played at in the early ’90s.

We've always been a sleeping giant because the AD and upper campus have kept the chloroform applied for the last 20 years.

Too bad they have held the Olympic sports in higher esteem than the front porch.

There was plenty of reason to think the giant no longer had a pulse. Turns out we were just in a coma.

WASHINGTON is still malnourished and atrophied, but at least consciousness has been restored.

Time to go to work.

LOL. Yeah...you were the first to use that phrase with UW football.

Glad you are here.
