Unlike Shaw, Pete has a shot to become the only coach to win the conference twice in that time span too.
IMO if Pete wins the conference he takes the lead, even if Shaw finishes with as many (or more) wins on this list at the end of this year.

Well year 5 Pete has two Notre titles and a shot at a second Pac 12 title, If he gets it he has a better start than the sainted Don James. And I am on record as saying that I think and care and want Petersen to do better than James. There is room

As much as I bash the conference, and bash UW for winning it as nothing special (it isn't)
A win over Ohio State or Michigan in the Rose Bowl, would be significant.

Somehow pups merry little trio of split personalities is less embarrassing than his football takes.
That kid is probably at the games when he doesn’t have too much studying to do. He’s not the problem. He could be convinced to drink some beers and yell on third down.
