where does this narrative come from?

Looking at he last two classes at BSU there are only 4 recruits from Idaho and most are from California with a good number from Texas.

That is why people think he can't relate to black... I mean "inncer city edgy" kids.
 
Didn't he maintain a team with Titus Young? It doesn't get much edgier than that, the dude was too toxic for the Lions/NFL.

It comes from fucktards who had convinced themselves that hiring Sark was basically like hiring Pete Carrol and that UW would get far better talent like Carrol did and we'd all be having a great time while stomping the league out. Placating star players as a requirement to win is just a side effect of this, and Petersen is, after all, the anti-Sark.

He's a lazy recruiter he wont fight for the higher ranked kid, he said he wasnt going to waist his time on recruiting kids who have other schools ranked above Huskies, he's going to see very shortly that he wont win in Pac 12 with that nonsense.

He has said he won't put resources into recruiting kids who aren't genuinely interested in going to UW. He's not going to be fooled into thinking that a guy like Ruben Foster is genuinely interested just because he agreed to take a free trip.

You're fighting a losing battle on this one dumb dumb. Petersen has already shown he will recruit similarly or higher rated classes to UW than Sarkisian. Simpletons who don't know how to read the the aspects of recruiting rankings that sort of matter won't get this, but the 2014 class was about as good as any that Sark and his highly paid recruiting mercenaries brought in. That was in the transition year.

U cant honestly convince anyone or urself that at the end of recruiting cycle this class is good, dont give me rankings ur going to have more commits from competing against lower level Pac 12 schools and mountain west teams than who u should be competing with Oregon, Sc, Ucla Asu and probably stanford.

I remember something from when baker was on his recruiting visit. He said he had a blast playing ping pong with peterson for hours. Someone who can't relate to players doesn't spend a long time hanging out.

I think what peterson lacks is a bullshit meter. Whether that equals success at a place like UW could get interesting. He doesn't have the used car salesman attitude to sell some top 5* guys or tell a kid he'll play a position when they know he won't. We will lose recruits for this, but I also think we gain far more that are willing to bleed purple. Dissly is going to be that guy, baker is already that guy.

He will have more and more and more like this, but we will never win the February national championship with Pete.
