Permission To Doog, Captain?

I'm starting to Doog pretty hard about Lenius. Obviously wasn't a high 4 star that people have been recruiting since his nuts dropped but as a late bloomer, he started getting some good offers towards the end of the 2014 recruiting cycle.

Think I've read that he's already made a couple of plays in Spring Ball, including a diving 30 yard catch (for a TD?).

Of course if he has an OL that does ole in pass-pro and / or a QB who can't hit the broadside of the barn, it won't mean a steaming pile of Husky excrement.

Still, is anyone else getting a little bit of a chub now that he's got a year of college ball under his belt?

It's him or nobody. I really can't picture a decent passing offense with nothing but quick midgets at WR. I thought he looked like a decent receiver on the few balls thrown his way last season but it was a small sample. I have high hopes for him, but I'm doogish that way during the offseason too.

I actually think Pettis could be a good WR, I liked what I saw from him at times last year.

And he's not a midget.

Pettis + Lenius + Mickens + Ross = a reasonably solid receiving corps. If Perkins and Daniels are well utilized, and if Dotson can establish a role as a 3rd down back, the supporting cast should be fine.

This team will go exactly as far as a frosh QB and a rebuilt OL can take them.

Ha that's funny. I actually forgot about him. I agree he looks like a solid guy with some big play skills and not undersized.
 
Lenius and Pettis are both ballers IMHO. @Passion always kind of beat it into my head that if they don't bark as pups, they don't bite as dogs (or dawgs, as the case may be ;)
 
He transfereed from Canada for his senior year of HS and had to sit out half the season. So it seems like your classic case of a sleeper. A player that didn't get much development or practice early in his youth, relative to his peers, and was unseen because he only played half-a-dozen HS games in the US.

I saw him play in HS his senior year vs Serra. His height and Athleticsm stood out even on the same field as nearly a dozen very high level Pac12 players. Adoree Jackson even had some trouble covering him that day, and he was maybe one of the best cover guys in the Pac12 last year, and probably will be one of the best in the country this year.
 
I still like that Petersen brought in two 3-star receivers who immediately jumped the shit stable depth Sark's 4 years of recruiting left behind
