Apparently he had done drugs and had been blackmailed into paying thousands of dollars to a bar hostess in Seoul. Then a police investigation into his drug use started and as a result he was dropped from a film project a couple months ago. So he killed himself.

That’s awful! That hostess/host scam stuff happens in Japan too. Please avoid those places like the plague when you go to Asia, Derek.

BTW, finally saw My Mister too. Beautifully painful. Those K-Dramas get you in the feels.
