Does anyone really think WSU was anything more than a bystander in the entire realignment process? They had to resort to trying to get the State legislature to run bills which would have prevented UW from leaving if WSU wasn't tied at the hip to them.

Agree in theory. The networks took the action that landed OSU and WSU exactly where they belong. But Cuogs should not blame any external party. Blame themselves for not being worthy of more than $5-$6 million per year. Its much easier to be mad at the networks that know WSU's value or the teams that left that know their own value. This whole thing was preordained if the P12 deal didn't compensate the best programs much more fairly.
It sucks to suddenly be forced to realize that you are nothing in the overall scheme of college football, but here they are.
I'm surprised a league with the likes of Cincinnati, Iowa State, directional Florida school, TCU, and now Ute didn't offer the two reject schools.

My thing with the truly supposedly hateful Coug fans is all you've done is HATE Washington forever why the fuck would they look out for you? Also, you hate UW so much shouldn't you be happy to be disassociated from them.
I hate continuing a fake Apple Cup. I'm really glad that when our team could really benefit from three true cupcakes to get their footing and then go to business in the Big 10 the third one is gonna be against a team whose whole season is one fucking game.

I do get their desperation. They've been sucking hind tit off the rest of the conference for all this time and the tit got ripped away. All of those years portraying themselves as the little engine that could while being gifted revenue they couldn't earn on their own can't be easy to let go of. Has to hurt. I just appreciate that they've been so cuogish about it, making it easy to just laugh at them.

To me, this "rivalry" all the sudden became Colorado/Colorado State.
I'd drop 'em. No upside. They'll devolve into a lower level D1 program whose whole season will be focused on beating one team. Never play them there again - there's no money in it - and make them come to Husky Stadium every year or fuck it.
