To be clear, Oregon’s pass defense stats are far superior to UW’s.

UW’s entire defense right now is trending the wrong way. Since Oregon, they’ve played better than par once.

The defense is what it is and the first half against Utah was abysmal. I don't think Oregon's pass defense is any better and may be worse.

You realize we have almost a full season worth of stats on this, right?

Yeah it sucks. Standing by that. Does it probably suck less than UW? Yes, but not enough to where it probably matters.

Oregon is 49th in passing ypg. UW 122nd. Oregon’s pass D isn’t good, they’re pretty mediocre and the ranking reflects that. Comparing them to UW is lol though

SC had 306 yards passing against Oregon. They had 312 against Washington.
Cal had 177 yards passing against Oregon, 363 against UW.
Utah had 142 yards passing against Oregon, 267 against UW
Stanford had 133 yards passing against Oregon, 367 against UW.

Tell me more about your feelings?

And yet, the only numbers at this point that count are 36-33.

UW is ranked deservedly so ahead of Oregon. A power ranking is looking ahead. I personally don’t give a shit about someone putting UW at 1 and Oregon 2.

The pass defense isn’t awful for Oregon. It’s not the end result that I cared about but the logic getting there. Had the original poaster just ranked ordered without making the argument why, I am not here.

Had he said, an elite pass offense beats a good pass defense, and that’s why UW wins in a rematch, I am not commenting.

Oregon’s defense is top 15-20 by any reputable statistical service. That won’t stop a top 5 offense if they’re clicking.

Right now I just want Oregon to beat Oregon State.

I'm dropping Oregon to #3 based on this post.

How does UW give up 28 to Utah…UW is much worse on defense and trending the wrong way? The defense was great against SC and I watched it up close.

I guess PAC 12 refs love them some PI. If they’re going to be ticky tacky, UW will win.

Oregon got worse with Florence and Jackson out in what was probably a load management[/b] move when Oregon was up 22.
