Our main board might need to go into hibernation until July

Once the games start, I no longer care about all the changes to college football. I am excited to watch almost almost every weekend once Big 10 play starts.

The cupcake, non conference games are still the worst part of college football. It’s worse than the transfers and the lack of loyalty.

Despite what talking heads say, a win over a nobody always matters more than a loss to any team. The schools know this, the coaches know a couple of wins against cupcakes can save their jobs, and there is almost no incentive to play a tough opponent every week.

Tend to agree but they are the lifeblood for many smaller programs. A necessary evil, if you will.

The "social development" of Duh-mond is the perfect metaphor for 2026 college football.

Think of the love you had for Husky Football watching Tui, Lockner, Penix, etc, and contrast with that guy.

I'd prefer not to have to pay the kids, but am willing to compromise. If they can get some common sense regs in place on portal and compensation to create some stability then I can see my interest level rising.

I hate to say it, but the Hawks are a better product right now than UW football. I was really happy for my fellow OC native Darnold to get a ring. Duh-mond can eat shit.
Agree on all of this. I haven’t given up hope, I just hate where we are right now.

Check in with me if we get deeper and deeper into October and November with UW undefeated or only having one loss this year. I'll get excited. No way around it. I'll be excited leading up to Labor Day weekend. No way around it. Check in with me at the end of November. I don't like college football as much as I did before but I can't quit it. My question is what about those that don't love it nearly as much?

Actually watched a few minutes of B1G wresting last night.

People forget Dan Gable’s only collegiate loss was to a Husky.

Hockey and wrestling would be good adds.

I have followed the hockey team for years. Look at the results. They are more deserving than a lot of the other Olympic sports.

At some point in tim, in CFB, there’s gonna have to be a salary cap. That’s what we all are down to. Period.

It is the haves and have nots. Or, survival of the fittest (richest). However one wants to view.

Or the programs with the largest BMD’s are gonna run away from everyone. Saban LEFT because he saw this coming and knew he couldn’t continue to STACK talent.

This ain’t hard.

Sad ain’t the word, far as CFB right now, …unless you have $$$.

If you do? Right now? Sky is the limit..

Fkn buy and stack em…if you DON’T??

Watch the playoffs from the hizzy.

And guess what? Most folks ain’t stupid,,.well, yes, most are…

But generally not CFB fans.. they see all of this. They are getting out-priced from watching stream content to attendance at games. And KNOW these players in CFB are making millions. Compounding prices and outcomes. Much less these networks like ESPN benefitting off this product.

That snowball is rolling down hill…fast. And getting larger by the foot of roll…
