"developing talent" has got to be one the single fakest things in all of sports. #1: recruit[/s] pay for it. #2: don't fuck it up. You taught a huge, quick twitch, smart, hard working dude who only played 1 year of sportsball to be elite? Shocking!
It's not fake, it's just incredibly difficult to discern. There's no way to know how much of a role a coach played with one single player. You have to look at the entire body of work and evaluate that.

Some coaches are better than others at coaching. That should be a no shit statement.
There’s also a lot of shit that assistants do for their position group that people never see. It’s not just limited to football. Think of how dumb most 18-23 year old dudes are. Then imagine those 18-23 year olds are giants full of testosterone and rhino cum in a fish bowl where they’re mini celebrities.
