OT: Romar adds big man (allegedly)

IT really helped MBA with the pick and rolls. Before IT became a great passer, MBA was basically useless.

I think NGW is the real deal at PG and Romar does have a ton of bigs now including a proven big transfer from SF. The Huskies will be on bubble for the NCAA tournament this year.

Wilcox will benefit a lot more from a real PG. Plus the addition by subtraction of Gaddy should help too.

The potential is certainly there, but there's a lot of ifs. IF NWG is really ready (I think he is), IF Blackwell is the real deal, IF Kemp is ready to make the leap, etc. You can squint hard enough and see a team that makes the top half of the tourney bracket. But it's pretty simple to imagine them not being much improved over last season. I think Romar has to make the tourney this year or he'll really start to feel some heat.

 
This is a decent get to replace N'daiye, hopefully he can be better. I still have questions about having a big time scorer. Until NWG proves he can create his own shot there is still no one on this team that can. Wilcox is a pure shooter who can't do much else. Kemp has some decent post moves but he cannot play defense to save his life.
Andrews has a nice upside, I actually think he can be an all conference type player with some maturity. The team has some pieces but I'll buy improvement when I see it. This is probably a fringe NCAA team.

I liked Kim's complex appraisal of the matter. If Upshaw wanted to be a knucklehead criminal he would have picked Oregon. Clearly, his picking Washington means he wants to turn his life around. Only criminals go to Oregon. Only good people go to Washington
 
Kim is already setting it up for when he changed his mind to go to Oregon.

*even though Romar's last good teams had the biggest thug there is in Overton.
 
He's not "leaving Fresno", they kicked him off the team. Apparently Romar still cares about winning, which is nice.

Joe Wolfinger will crush Dierxxx. Dierxxx is the worst D1 big I have ever seen. Gasser crushes him. Dierxxx is so fucking awful he can't get minutes when 2 starting bigs are gone. He is fucking terrible. He needs to get his scholarship removed immediately. Awful. AWFUL!

If there isn't already a laundry list of why romar should be canned, this is it. Giles was given a scholy even after a year of sucking in college, romar took him on. It's embarrassing how bad our talent eval is. Look at our current roster and the only guy worth much is nwg.
