I dunno what's gonna happen next Saturday and Lyl... er uh Taggart is a much better coach than Helfrich. But running your backup QB with a 17 pt lead in the 4th quarter when you've already lost your starter for the Season, tells me He's not a technically gifted gameday coach.

I don't think He's the one that will get ya back to consistent NY6 bowls or playoff appearances.

Jury's still out on Taggart and will be for awhile. He's the guy until proven otherwise for me and most quooks. Need a lot more evidence before duck fans start calling for his head. I generally liked what I saw from the team against Cal. I would argue that the defense went from complete trash to average. The Oregon offense is good enough to win 7 games with their schedule with an average defense. Last year's team would have lost this game 45-24, so I'll give the first year coach at least some credit. But no, this defense isn't great or even close to great.
