One year ago today

I was there! Benefit of being the losing team was leaving the event with very little traffic as the Michigan fans meandered for the trophy presentation. Fuck that shit. Literally walked to the care in the lot, drove out immediately, took a right turn to the onramp and was at the hotel 20 minutes later. I'll say this about Houston, it does offer a lot of options for visitors, specifically with reasonably priced hotels. I went to Indiana this year and hotels in Bloomington were insanely high. In Houston, one need not stay in the downtown core, and getting to the game was just as easy. I heard the Uber situation was a cluster fuck. I know a very wealthy youtuber flew in a private jet, but thought getting to the game by uber would suffice. They didn't get to the game until halftime.

We did same thing end of game. Walked out got in car, two rights and we were on freeway and back to hotel in 30 minutes. At Husky Stadium it's a hour long traffic jam just to get out of parking lot.
Was weird, I watched 6-12 Michigan fans leaving stadium b4 game was over, and a couple were running to their cars in parking lot as clock was hitting zero. I'm thinking, this is second National Championship you've won in last 80 years, and you aren't even going to stay and watch trophy presentation…….
truth, handful of wolverines walked out early and were talking trash, couldn’t understand why they’d leave and not take in the whole situation

most of the Wolverine fans I encountered seemed almost unhappy they won. At the bars the night of/after the game the UW fans were having more fun.

Seriously. If we’d won, I’d have stayed until they kicked me out.

Weird day and night for me. Joey and I got really close to going before deciding we had watched almost every away game in the run at The Bank (our family bar basically) so might as well finish it there. I think with how out of nowhere the run was and nerve racking almost every game was the whole thing never felt real in a way to me and immediately getting swept away in the game made that continue.
