I gotta admit I've watched highlight videos of most of the recruits. I thought this guy's was the best out of the whole class. He's badass...big, quick and a wrecking ball. He's gonna be good.

Yeah, you have to develop them and call a good game and get some good game strategery but overall, the regression line shows a tight fit between stars and titles.

This class has some killers. The average star ranking was higher than some of Sark's and really not much lower than Sark's best. He also filled in needs beautifully by stocking up on lineman and DB's. I don't know how many more could be expected. This class will be better than some of Sark's. There are some lower ranked guys sprinkled in, but almost every player had other Pac 12 offers. Don't buy into the Doogman bullshit.

Next year's class will be loaded with killers, and Peterman is going to kill it in state. All the idiot doog myths about the fence not being important, discipline, continuity with average coaches are all going to be exposed this year. It's fun to be right.

As with any class the true value/ranking won't really be known for a couple years when we see how they actually develop them. I'd guess that in 2-3 years this class probably ends up being of more value on the field than any of Sarks did.

Nice false dichotomy you have there.

Given like 6 weeks to work with Petersen pulled in a much better class than he ever had at Boise. He had way more 4 stars than he ever had, fewer 2 stars, and pulled easily his highest rated recruit ever. The idea that he's going to recruit the same caliber of athlete he did at Boise was debunked in the time it takes Vanilla to implement next day site changes.

Yes, classes full of stars are usually better than classes that aren't. But there's also lowly rated guys who have plenty of talent. The Seahawks just finished loudly proclaiming what happens when you can outscout and outdevelop everybody else, and wouldn't you know it, Petersen has consistently displayed the ability to both scout well and develop well. Now he's at a place where he's already displayed the ability to beat other schools out for guys he couldn't get at Boise. UW may never have top 10 classes under Petersen (though I'm not convinced this is true), but we should always have above average classes that play way up thanks to superior scouting and development.
