Get rid of coaches altogether. The players don’t play school anymore but let’s pretend these are academic affiliations and make a rule that every coach has to be a tenured professor with a PhD that teaches an actual class.

Sure, UCLA saved money paying him compared to Kelly or any other real coach, but they lost all those savings when they effectively paid him close to 15m for 2 seasons of coaching.
For Fisch, it would be another 10m
And then UCLA, a school which is cheap as shit, is going to pay 10m to buy Fisch out AND pay him 10m a year? AND have the money for NIL & Assistants which Fisch will demand?
If they had money, why'd they hire Deshaun Foster? Or why not use the savings from paying Foster peanuts to actually buy some decent players?

I'm still not sure Fisch is the guy and he went from being tarmac'd at BWI to "ok lets see some more" in a 20 minute span last Saturday. But the fact that 3 outlets which hate our fucking guts are making up rumors about him leaving is a really encouraging sign that he's going to not piss all of us off the rest of the year. Guess we'll find out in the next few weeks.
