1972 : Title IX enacted into law.

120 scholarships per D-1 football team at the time.

85 scholarships per team not achieved until mid-90’s.

74 was my first year as a season ticket holder and Jim Owens last year

Husky Stadium was like the Roman Coliseum as the score rose,

Dave Pear - very underrated
 
Dick Enright in 1973.

Dave Pear was State Championship wrestler out of Portland. Played on an average football team in high school.

NFL career : Played for Tampa Bay and Oakland Raiders; Undersized DT who gave everything.

Ended NFL “career” with busted up body and disabled.
