Says the guy who buries active threads by starting 40 new threads based on tweets daily.
Next time I want to post 4 posts in a row in a thread, all pertaining to the thread topic, I'll just make them separate threads instead. I guess that's the workaround.

But again, Petersen was trying to be the first Boise coach to not flame out at the next level and was doubted by a lot of people outside of UW.
His SECOND fucking year in the program we were 5-6 on a easy schedule and had to beat WSU and Southern fucking Mississippi Mud Hawks to go 7-6.
His year one was a fucking abortion.
I don't remember him getting any shit for that, before 2016.

I wanted to fire Petersen when he punted against Oregon on the 40. That was year one or two
I think a lot of the doubts about Petersen were real by the time he burned out and faded away. Year 3 was awesome other than Sam Darnold living for that moment and the playoff game where they played soft and scared - a bit of a recurring theme

That's true, there was definitely that. He had way too much confidence in his underclass corners and being able to ink out wins over teams like Oregon with field goals. That game was such a fucking buzzkill for me personally, I was forced to "pre-funk" and "tailgate" at a fucking Mormon's place and almost missed the first quarter.
There was just not nearly as much heat on him (on all UW platforms, not just here) for turning in 2 really, really disappointing seasons given the hype.
I think there's also something to the fact that Petersen and DeBoer have the look and personality that gels a lot better with the fanbase. It's not like Petersen didn't do the cringe thing after the 2018 Oregon game wearing that FS "Stay Positive" shirt. Really loved that touch at the time.
Petersen had a 92-12 record before arriving that gave him some relief.
Jedd has a single 10-3 record.
Yeah, he owned the Mountain West.
Not insignificant but not worthy of giving a guy a two year pass.

By the end of year 2, many here were out of patience with Petersen.
And despite most being glad that Sark left and mad or sad at DeBoer, it is a lot easier following 7 win Steve than 25-3 Kalen.
