Now a kid is being labeled a HERO for pulling the fire alarm, and a principal for tackling the 16 year old perp. That doesn't make you a hero bitch, that's doing your job. How hard is it for a grown man to tackle a scrawny 16 - year old?

I'm growing tired of this "hero" label being thrown around. Fuck man, a hero runs into a burning fire to save a baby. American firefighters won't even do that anymore.
 
Being a gun or a knife is not the point. I hoped what people took away today is mentally ill people will find a way to hurt people one way or another. The root of the problem is still there glaring people in eyes but we always blame the gun or the knife.

I am sure the news will find a way to link this kid to some violent video game.

Elementary and middle school students should get mandatory pshcyiatric evals on a biannual basis growing up. All but the most intelligent, and manipulative, psychotic people would give some sort of red flags, imo. But im not an expert, and that shit would be expensive

News all saying he "may have been bullied" which led to the crazy. How about this, instead of making him the victim because someone called him some names, maybe tell him that lifes not fair, sack up and get on with it rather than deciding to go all Michael Meyers in the cafeteria.

People who commit these mass atrocities with lethal weapons seem to be colossal pussies 9/10 times. They can't channel their anger into anything worthwhile, like hitting the gym to fight the bully, or getting a 4.0 gpa and getting into a good school. Worthless fucking cunts
 
Actually...if you look most come from divorced families or mom screwed him over.

This guy is in a blended family.....which might make it worse. Not only did mom divorce your dad....but brought more kids into your family. Kid was probably forgotten about. It's sad that these kids are so angry that they feel their only action is one of extreme violence.

More often than not divorces happen because the living situation wasn't good to begin with. Lots of kids parents get divorced, and enter into happy marriages the second time around.

Mental health problems can't usually be traced to one thing. From what I remember from psych class, incidents like these are typically an accumulation of things that finally boils over. Parents want them clean room and get good grades, kids at school say they're ugly, they can't get any friends due to awkwardness/obsession with anime at 16 years old. Shit like that.

Kids don't try to kill as many of their peers as possible because mom got a divorce.

But seriously, on the same day as the Sandy Hook massacre there was a crazy asshole in China who went on a stabbing spree at an elementary school there. No fatalities.

I don't think it is a stretch to say that guns are more dangerous than knives. That is why we fight wars with guns now and not swords.

Personally, I like guns. But they are a dangerous instrumentality that need to be regulated. Like cars or radioactive waste.

The problem with anti gun people is they make it seem like you can go to the grocery store and pick up a glock with your spaghetti dinner you are going to cook. Banning guns only means shittier people will have to pay more to obtain one illegally. If people are sick and determined enough they will get their hands on one, or build a bomb etc.
