We* beat the Lions 45-0 in week 1 (with a goal line kneeldown to end the game cause Gibbs wanted to teach young whlinder sitting in the stands what Nebraska classy is) and 42-10 in the NFCCG. The best Lions team (and Wayne Fontes') of basically the entire Super Bowl era.

According to Wiki future Husky legend Pat Haden was the TV color commentator for the first game!
