As I said in our lost pod, the one thing that disappointed me about Giles was him running out of bounds one yard short of the first down instead of putting his shoulder into the defender and trying to get it.

It’s a long season. He’s a 5”9 190 slot WR. He doesn’t need to do that against Weber State. He needs to stay healthy and take care of his body. He’s a vital piece of our offense.

Jackson showed some toughness on some other plays, for example the jet sweep to get the first down right before the first TD of the game.

I had the same thought. He’s the first FCS transfer we’ve had where I’m like “yep, he looks like a Portland State player”.
