Deboer looked pissed after the game, so I'm going to take that as a good sign. He knows his defense is microwaved shit.

They weren’t that bad. It was tough all day for Sparty until the end. We simply got a little timid towards the end. We were a couple plays away from winning by at least another 14 points. Michigan State was not a couple plays away from winning.

Secondary had a couple balls they should have made plays on. There were a couple times we got good pressure but didn’t bring Thorne down. We aren’t there on defense and it’s not going to be a great defense, but we play aggressive and with confidence.

We made Michigan State one dimensional, we had some good pressure at times, we tackled pretty well. The secondary is the weak link but I’m confident they will improve. Most those guys haven’t played much. I prefer this to getting gashed into he ground and being soft.

It doesn’t matter. We need excitement around the program. Winning is fun. This brand of football is better than anything we have seen in 22 years other than 2016. Have some fun.
