OFFICIAL Washington vs. Iowa Game Thread

Can you imagine if we had a legit 2nd wr besides Boston that we would/could go to consistently

Rodgers have played with fire on that outroute half a dozen times this year where it should/could have gotten picked off
finally happened

I think we may need Diamond Demond in with this OL today. My little genie in a bottle. My little man.
Can Williams throw the ball while running?
Now that players are getting paid—and transfer QBs in particular—I have a lot less issues with singling out a player:
Will Rogers is the biggest front-runner from the QB position that I've ever seen. His success rate on clutch plays has to be less than 10%. There have been three plays in this game that you have to have your QB hit. The first is the flea-flicker. You just can't miss a guy that wide open downfield. And if your QB doesn't have the arm to get it that far downfield, throw that play out.
The other was the rollout to the left, missing a wide open Boston for what would have been a first down what ended up being an unsuccessful series. Didn't have the arm rolling to his left to get it a whole 15 yards downfield.
The third was missing Jackson at the sticks on the sideline when rolling right after escaping pressure. Down in the red zone at the end of half. He was wide open for the first down, and Gross tried really hard to miss the field goal. Really needed a TD there.
He's actually shown some moxie in escaping pressure. It's all for nothing if you can't complete a pass unless you're standing tall in the middle of a clean pocket.
And now he throws the INT. I'm going to go mow my lawn. That's more fun than this.
I don't care what completion percentage, yardage, etc. that Rogers is giving you. He's not going to make plays for you that win games. The problem is that Fisch is in a tough spot with Rogers and Williams. You have to play Williams or he'll bail to Alabama or Michigan or Ohio State (he will anyway), but you have to stick with Rogers or you'll never get a high profile QB transfer again. Welcome to the new shitty college football.
